Wordle explanations are posted a day late to ensure that no one accidentally sees the solution before playing.
Line 1: One of my typical start words. No help here.
Line 2: “Chump” is one of the alternative “base words”; even with the “C”, there’s not a lot to go on.
Line 3: The alternative to “fling” – one of my “base words” here is “cling”. One more letter, the “L”, but in the wrong place. This is getting to be quite perplexing.
Line 4: Obviously “crowd” can’t be the word because there’s no “L”, but I’m desperate to get some more letters in.
Line 5: The writers of this game generally do not use simple plurals or adjective forms for Wordle. However, the only thing that I can think at this point is “coyly”. Would they do that? With few other options available, I try it and… it works!
