Songs of the Season – Monks of Svetogorskaya Lavra – In the Dark Night
I was wondering what I should post today, and this song got posted over at the Byzantine, Texas blog, so I’ll count it as Providence. 🙂 This is a Ukrainian carol for which I can’t find an English version, but it’s beautiful, and even a little Middle-Eastern in style.
Orthodox Christian mom with more than a passing interest in technology. And music. And history... And, and... My poor kids, right? They ask me a question and they get a lesson on something or another! In any case, I've always liked to write, so please grab a cup of tea (or other hot beverage) and let's get to know each other through the written word. :)
May God bless and keep you, this day and always.

Thank you for bringing these singing monks to my attention — maybe it was you who told me about them last year. They are wonderful!
I doubt it – I only saw them for the first time today (at least as far as I know) and I wasn’t really blogging at all a year ago (here or anywhere else).
