Sunday Gratitude – 1.IX.2024

Yes, I know it’s Monday again, but it is a long weekend, so we’re kind of in that weird world where it isn’t Sunday, but it doesn’t necessarily feel like Monday either.

I am grateful that the school stuff seems to be going okay so far. There was one small issue, but I think it’s resolved, and at the very least, the teacher knows what to keep an eye out for.

I am grateful to be able to do things for other people – this may sound silly, but I’m trying very hard to make an effort to reach out and I think it’s generally a good thing. When my kids see it – well, at least the younger ones – I think that at some level they understand what’s happening, that running “church bread” over to a family when they’re feeling sick or what have you might be a little thing, but it’s a good thing.

I’m grateful that we did something the kids thought was quite fun this weekend and that the weather was beautiful for it.

I’m grateful that we have ways of keeping micro-preemies alive – if this seems like a totally random observation, this might explain (the people are friends of mine): https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/47dg66 . I am thankful that there are people who are keeping them all in prayer and who are pitching in to help.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to get to know some of my internet friends better without the computers, and I’m excited for a plan a couple of us are working toward.
