Songs of the Season 2025 – “Thanksgiving” – George Winston

I meant to post yesterday, but was absolutely dead by the end of the day. This is one of my absolute favorites of George Winston’s, and the opening to his album “December” (affiliate link).

    1. Beautiful!

My mom got a CD player for her birthday in 1987, and from that time, she collected a fair amount of Christmas music. George Winston’s “December” was played heavily in the mix. My parents gave my grandmother in Iowa a CD player a couple of years later, and as my grandmother was a huge fan of piano music, I think they also gave “December” to her with the player (or shortly thereafter).

(I did receive what you sent me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’ve been working on writing you back, but I tend to get long-winded and there’s been some fairly serious stuff that popped up in the meantime.)
