Wordle explanations are posted a day late to ensure that no one accidentally sees the solution before playing.
Line 1: “Grove” did about as well as I figured it would. At least we have some clue, yes?
Line 2: Using one of my base words, I didn’t get too much more here, though I discovered an “S” is somewhere.
Line 3: I went for an “S-” blend, and picked a word that started “SP” and got lucky with that. It actually is quite odd that the “E” has to be in the 4th spot. Very, very, interesting.
Line 4: By logic, if the word starts with “SP” and the 4th letter has to be “E”, there aren’t that many possibilities, especially since we know “R” doesn’t appear in this puzzle. It could be an “I”, but since “D” has already been played, it almost has to be “L”… and it is!
