Gratitude – Sunday #4 – Always on a Sunday?

Now we’ve been home from church for five straight weeks. This week kind of knocked me out; not only were my two youngest going back and forth with this cold stuff, I managed to be sick too, and the one night had a temperature in the 102F-103F range. Fevers don’t let mom stop being mom though.

I am grateful for sunshine. I am grateful for the beautiful weather and the gorgeous colors that the leaves have changed. I’m grateful that even though we were sick, we were able to get outside into the fresh air some.

I am grateful for friends who can be called at 10:30pm, and who will stay on the line until 1am just to listen and talk things through.

I am thankful to be able to really start contemplating the idea of getting to go to Germany again. Don’t ask me how or when, but I found out that all of their Covid-19 travel restrictions have been lifted, and knowing that lifts a burden that’s been there for over two years.
