Wordle explanations are posted a day late to ensure that no one accidentally sees the solution before playing.

Line 1: “Spiel” should do halfway decently, right? Hmm…

Line 2: Let’s use some more letters… Again, nothing.

Line 3: Looking for something that uses the “O” and “U” and some more letters… Just the “U”? How peculiar!

Line 4: I hate using the double letter, especially a double “Z”, but the number of words that have a “U” in the second place and don’t use any of the letters already used make it difficult to think of things that don’t have a double letter between “U” and “Y”. I feel like I am stumbling in the dark with this one.

Line 5: A double letter seems like a waste again, but what other options do I have at this point? The “M” is a huge break, though.

Line 6: Here goes nothing… “Mummy”. With three “M”s… And it works! But what a tough one this was!
